Ambassador Lukman Faily delivered remarks at the Seventh Annual Association for the Study of the Middle East and Africa (ASMEA) Conference, “Searching for Balance in the Middle East and Africa.”
The conference, “Framing and Charting the Region’s Issues, Interests, Challenges, and Opportunities: Implications for Arab and U.S. Policies” brought together distinguished guests to expand the overall Arab-U.S. relationship.
Ambassador Lukman Faily held his fourth Twitter Q&A, discussing Iraq’s domestic security and democratic progress as well as the formation of the new government.
‘An Evening at the Iraqi Embassy’ hosted by Things To Do DC brought together students and young professionals to promote international understanding.
In his remarks at Al Hewar Center, Ambassador Faily reiterated that ISIS is not a new phenomenon, but a variant of a pre-existing movement.
