Ambassador Faily welcomed His Excellency the Speaker of Parliament Mr. Osama Al-Nujayfi and accompanying delegation to Washington, DC on January 20, 2014 for an official visit.


WASHINGTON – Ambassador Faily welcomed His Excellency the Speaker of Parliament Mr. Osama Al-Nujayfi and accompanying delegation to Washington, DC on January 20, 2014 for an official visit.

The visit comes at the invitation of Vice President Joe Biden, to discuss bilateral relations between Iraq and the United States and efforts to strengthen ties based on mutual interests.

The accompanying Iraqi delegation includes several members of the Council of Representatives.
