Iraqi archaeological items lent to Pennsylvania museum for restoration

The University of Pennsylvania Museum Department of Archaeology received archaeological items belonging to one of the most ancient of all Sumerian Cities, Nippur.

An Iraqi delegation attended a ceremony on September 3, 2014 at the University of Pennsylvania Museum Department of Archaeology to receive 554 archaeological items belonging to one of the most ancient of all Sumerian Cities, Nippur. The artifacts were lent previously by Iraq to the Museum for research, restoration and maintenance.
