Appointed-Ambassador Faily and Dr. Khalid al-Attiyah meet with U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee Members

While in Washington, Dr. Khalid al-Attiyah, a member of the Iraqi House of Representatives and Appointed-Ambassador Faily met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs.

WASHINGTON – Ambassador Lukman Faily welcomed Dr. Khalid al-Attiyah – an Iraqi member of the House of Representatives and head of the State of Law Bloc – to Washington. During his visit in DC, Mr. Khalid and Appointed-Ambassador Faily met with Elizabeth Dibble, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs on June 13, 2013. The two sides discussed bilateral relations between the United States and Iraq. Later that day, Mr. Faily and Dr. Khalid exchanged views with a number of members from the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. House of Representatives.
