Embassy of Iraq participates in the Parade of Nations

Mrs. Lameis Faily was an honorary guest at the Washington International Club’s annual Fall Tea event, which promotes culture and international diplomacy.

On October 8, 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq participated in the Washington International Club’s annual Fall Tea event for the Parade of Nations. Mrs. Lameis Faily was welcomed to the event as an honorary guest.

The event included a President’s welcome and Board introductions by Ms. Laurie Nakamoto, followed by the introduction of Honoree Guests. Embassy representatives wore traditional Iraqi clothing. Over thirty countries participated in the event which aims to promote culture and international diplomacy.
