US Chamber of Commerce and US Business Council in Iraq Welcome Iraq’s Minister of Finance
Dr. Safa Al Safi was in Washington, DC to participate in the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings.
On Friday, April 11, 2014, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Business Council in Iraq welcomed His Excellency Dr. Safa Al Safi, Iraq’s acting Minister of Finance for a reception during his visit in the United States for the annual International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring Meetings.
Welcoming remarks were delivered by Steve Lutes, Director, U.S.-Iraq Business Initiative. Following opening remarks, Hussain Qaragholi, President, U.S. Business Council in Iraq welcomed Ambassador Faily for remarks, in which the Ambassador discussed the importance of business opportunities to deepen the mutually beneficial economic cooperation and help boost Iraq’s economy through diversification and strengthening the private sector.
Among the attendees were, Khush Choksy, Vice President of Turkey and Middle East Affairs at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and U.S and Iraqi business leaders and media.
