His Excellency Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Haider al-Abadi has confirmed that the army proved that it was fighting under one banner and it was firm against Daesh’s terrorist gangs, at the same time it was kindness with the citizens for that it did deserve the respect of all.
This came during a ceremony held on Saturday in the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi army, where his Excellency has renewed his congratulations to the Iraqi army’s heroes on this occasion, which coincides with the victory over gangs.
Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has said that the prestige of the army has returned because of its sacrifices and where its soldiers and commanders of all formations did the fighting, with that it become welcome in all areas after the citizen was disappointed.
We proud to remember of the 79th anniversary of our mighty Iraqi army establishment, which, in all its formations and ranks, has written the most glorious national epic of the country and its people.
Today, we celebrate together this blessed and immortal occasion, which represents the Army Day and the Victory Day, and we extend our congratulations to our Iraqi people and their heroic army, which restored the country’s prestige and preserved the land of its country. It offered dear sacrifices in the most difficult stage of our beloved country. It was a rightful fortress to protect national gains and preserve the prestige and sovereignty of the state.
His Excellency Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Dr. Haider al-Abadi has called for maintaining the victory, supporting stability and to take advantage of the hard lesson of a Daesh’s occupation of cities.
His Excellency has clarified that Iraqis, with their patience, loyalty, and unity, have won against terrorism.
