His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi confirmed that the state relies heavily on the Supreme Council for Combating Corruption in the state’s service, society and the preservation of public money.

Working in accordance with the institutional constricted process, it is listening to all opinions to form the Council and they complement each other and become a lifestyle that we interact with positively.

His Excellency Prime Minister Adil Abd Al-Mahdi received this day in his office, the Chairman of the Iraqi-British Business Council Baroness Emma Nicholson, they discussed joint cooperation between Iraqi and British businessmen, companies and the proposed investment projects in Iraq.

His Excellency confirmed that the stability of Iraq provides an opportunity to increase the efforts of construction and reconstruction, welcoming cooperation between Iraqi and British companies within the framework of the Business Council.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Mr. Adam Kinzinger, US Congressman and member of the House Committee for Foreign Affaires and Iraq Friendship Committee in the US Congress on 7, Feb. 2019 at the US Congress.

Minister Alhakim stressed that the foundations of Iraqi foreign policy are based on the principle of openness to neighboring countries and the world, and avoiding the axis of conflict and explained that Iraq today is a place of meeting, not conflict , and that work is ongoing to achieve the aspirations of the people.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met in Washington with Mr. Karim Khan, head of the investigation team on crimes of Da’esh in Iraq.

The meeting discussed the role of the UN investigation team in collecting and storing evidence that criminalizes Da’esh terrorist gangs and keeping them in Iraq to ensure the rights of Iraqi victims of different faiths, ethnicities and sects in the liberated areas and the Iraqi martyrs who sacrificed themselves for their land and people.

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim met with Finnish Foreign Minister Timo Soini on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat Da’esh held in Washington.
