The Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington is pleased to announce the launch of the “Study in Iraq” program aimed at attracting international students to Iraqi universities for the 2024/2025 academic year. The program offers 14,322 academic seats from 59 governmental and private Iraqi universities. 57% of these seats are allocated to full scholarships, while 43% are for partial scholarships. The scholarships are available in medical and health sciences, engineering, pure sciences, agriculture, veterinary, administrative, law and political, educational, and humanities disciplines, and are open for undergraduate, postgraduate diploma, master’s, and doctoral levels. توخّياً لتسهيل الإجراءات الخاصّة بمنح سمات الدُخُول (الفيزا)، تُعلِن سفارة جمهوريّة العراق في واشنطن عن انطلاق خدمة الفيزا الإلكترونية من دون الحاجة إلى مُراجَعة السفارة؛ وذلك بالدُخُول على الرابط التالي : https://evisa.iq ، ويُمكِن استخدامها لدُخُول واحد، أو دُخُوليّات مُتعدِّدة إلى العراق.
للتقديم على الفيزا الإلكترونية، يجب توافر الوثائق أدناه:
1- جواز سفر نافذ.
2- صورة فوتوغرافيَّة رقميَّة.
3- إثبات إقامة.
4- بريد ألكترونيّ خاص يتسلّم منه الفيزا.
ثم بعد ذلك ملء النموذج عبر الإنترنت، وتحميل الوثائق المطلوبة، ودفع رُسُوم التأشيرة باستخدام طريقة دفع آمنة عبر الإنترنت، ثم طباعتها، وعرضها في المطار.

In an effort to streamline the visa application process, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington announces the launch of its e-visa service. This new service eliminates the need for an embassy visit; applicants can simply apply by visiting the following link: https://evisa.iq . The e-visa is available for single or multiple entries into Iraq.
To apply for the e-visa, the following documents are required:
1. A valid passport.
2. A digital photograph.
3. Proof of residency.
4. A personal email address from which the visa will be received.
Afterward, applicants must fill out the online form, upload the required documents, pay the visa fee using a secure online payment method, and then print out the visa to present at the airport.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani returned to the capital, Baghdad, after concluding his official visit to the United States, which included a series of meetings, discussions, seminars, dialogues, and other events, as follows:
– Meeting with U.S. President Mr. Joseph Biden
– Receiving Secretary of State Mr. Antony Blinken
– Visit to the Pentagon and meeting with Secretary of Defense Mr. Lloyd Austin
– Receiving the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Mr. Petr Fiala
– Receiving U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Mr. Alejandro Mayorkas
– Receiving United States Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Mr. Wally Adeyemo
– Attending the signing ceremony of 18 memorandums of understanding in energy, economy, oil sector development, and the pharmaceutical industry

رئيس مجلس الوزراء السيد محمد شياع السوداني يعود إلى العاصمة بغداد بعد اختتام زيارته الرسمية إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، التي تضمنت إجراء سلسلة من اللقاءات والمباحثات والندوات والجلسات الحوارية وفعاليات أخرى وهي كالآتي

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani visited the Iraqi Embassy in Washington during his official visit to the United States. The Prime Minister reviewed the embassy`s work and the performance of its staff, praising the efforts made during his official visit to the United States and the excellent organization, particularly commending the Iraqi Ambassador to the United States. He urged the embassy team to exert more effort and prioritize Iraq`s service and reputation in every action and step taken.
In his discussion with the Iraqi Embassy team, Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized that the understandings and topics discussed during the visit require diligent follow-up to ensure the success of subsequent actions related to the joint files and memorandums of understanding with the United States. These efforts align with the objectives of the government program and contribute to its achievement.

The Prime Minister directed the embassy staff, according to their respective roles and expertise, to provide care and attention to the members of the Iraqi community in the United States, ensuring that all possible services and support are offered as needed.

أجرى رئيس مجلس الوزراء السيد محمد شياع السوداني، فجر اليوم السبت (بتوقيت بغداد)، زيارة إلى السفارة العراقية في واشنطن على هامش زيارته الرسمية إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية

واستعرض سيادته عمل السفارة وأداء موظفيها والعاملين فيها مُثنياً على الجهود التي بُذلت خلال زيارته الرسمية الحالية، وعلى حُسن التنظيم، لاسيما ما بذله السيد سفير العراق لدى الولايات المتحدة، داعياً فريق السفارة إلى بذل المزيد من الجهد، ووضع خدمة العراق وسمعته أمام كل عمل أو خطوة يخطوها.

وأوضح السيد السوداني، في حديثه مع فريق السفارة، أن التفاهمات والملفات التي جرى العمل عليها خلال الزيارة تتطلب المتابعة الحثيثة والتركيز على إنجاح المتطلبات اللاحقة التي تستلزمها ملفات ومذكرات التفاهم الثنائية مع الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، والعمل على وفق مستهدفات البرنامج الحكومي والمساهمة في تحقيقه.

كما وجّه سيادته طواقم السفارة، كلٌّ حسب المهام والاختصاص، بإيلاء الرعاية والاهتمام بأبناء الجالية العراقية في الولايات المتحدة، والعمل على تقديم كل الخدمات الممكنة والتسهيلات التي يحتاجونها.

Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani received representatives of research centers specialized in Iraq and the region at his residence in Washington. The meeting took place on the sidelines of his official visit to the United States.
At the beginning of the meeting, he emphasized the importance of this visit, coinciding with the 21st anniversary of the change in Iraq, and at a time when efforts are underway to advance the relationship with the United States to a comprehensive partnership level through joint committees. Constructive and frank dialogues were held with President Biden and key members of the U.S. administration regarding the mechanisms of transitioning bilateral relations and ending the coalition mission, based on the Strategic Framework Agreement and Partnership that is not implemented since 2008.

استقبل رئيس مجلس الوزراء السيد محمد شياع السوداني، مساء اليوم الجمعة (بتوقيت بغداد)، بمقرّ إقامته في واشنطن، ممثلي المراكز البحثية المتخصصة بالعراق والمنطقة، وذلك على هامش زيارته الرسمية إلى الولايات المتحدة الأميركية.
وفي مستهلّ اللقاء، أكد سيادته أهمية هذه الزيارة التي تزامنت مع الذكرى 21 للتغيير في العراق، وفي وقت يجري العمل فيه على الانتقال بالعلاقة مع أميركا إلى مستوى الشراكة الشاملة من خلال اللجان المشتركة، حيث جرت حوارات بناءة وصريحة مع الرئيس بايدن وأركان الإدارة الأميركية حول آليات الانتقال بالعلاقات الثنائية، وإنهاء مهمة التحالف، اعتماداً على اتفاقية الإطار والشراكة المعطلة منذ سنة 2008.

نبحث عن علاقات أكثر استدامة ترتكز على المصالح المشتركة والاحترام المتبادل والتعاون المثمر. لدينا رؤية واضحة في تنفيذ سياسة الحكومة. رسمنا سياستنا الخارجية على أساس التوازن والابتعاد عن سياسة المحاور واعتماد الدبلوماسية المنتجة في بناء المصالح المشتركة مع دول الجوار والإقليم والمجتمع الدولي.
نريد أن نجعل العراق نقطة تلاقٍ وليس مكاناً لتصفية الحسابات.
العراق استعاد عافيته، وننطلق نحو التطوّر والإصلاح وإعمار البنى التحتية، فضلاً عن النهضة الاقتصادية والاجتماعية التي يشهدها البلد.
تمكّن العراقيون من الانتصار على أعتى تنظيم إرهابي، وهذا الانتصار وحّد أطياف الشعب العراقي.
خلال أسبوع، أجرينا سلسلة من اللقاءات المهمة والتقينا الرئيس بايدن وتبادلنا الحديث حول تفعيل اتفاقية الإطار الإستراتيجي نحو بناء علاقة ثنائية قوية.
وجدنا جواً إيجابياً من التفاهمات، بما يؤسس للمرحلة القادمة.
