بمناسبة عيد الصوم الميمون، يسر سفارة جمهورية العراق في واشنطن أن تتقدم بأطيب التمنيات وأحر التهاني إلى إيزيديي العراق والعالم.

تعد هذه المناسبة فرصة لتجديد إيماننا بالتنوع الثقافي والعرقي كأساس لقوة العراق واستقراره. نعتز بتراثنا الغني ونعتبر أن التعددية الثقافية والدينية هي ما يجعل مجتمعنا فريداً ومتميزاً.

نحن في السفارة، نقدر عالياً الدور الذي تضطلع به الأقليات في بناء مجتمع عراقي متماسك وقوي. ونؤكد التزامنا بدعم المكونات العراقية كافة، كما نؤكد أهمية الحوار والتفاهم المتبادل.

On the auspicious occasion of the Ezidi Fasting Festival, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington is delighted to extend its warmest wishes and heartfelt congratulations to the Ezidis of Iraq and around the world.

‏This occasion serves as an opportunity to reaffirm our belief in cultural and ethnic diversity as the foundation of Iraq’s strength and stability. We cherish our rich heritage and consider the cultural and religious plurality of our society as what makes it unique and distinct.

لن ننسى أبداً البطولات التي سطرها أبناء وبنات العراق في هذه المعركة. جنودنا البواسل، وقواتنا الأمنية، وحشدنا الشعبي، والبيشمركة، وكل من أسهم في هذه المعركة، قدموا أروع الأمثلة في التضحية والفداء. ولم يكن لهذا النصر أن يتحقق لولا صمود شعبنا العظيم ودعمه؛ فقد وقف صفاً واحداً ضد الإرهاب.

لا يمكننا إغفال الدور الذي لعبته الشراكات الدولية في دعم العراق. لقد كان دعماً دولياً بالفعل، سواءً العسكري أو الإنساني، ونحن نقدر هذا الدعم، ونتطلع لاستمرار هذه الشراكة في مسارات البناء والتنمية

On this day, we stand to commemorate the Victory Day against “Da’esh” terrorist groups, a day when Iraqis demonstrated exceptional courage and unwavering will in the face of terrorism. Our fight against terrorist ”Da’esh” has not only been in defense of our land, but also in defense of humanitarian and civilizational values.

We will never forget the heroics demonstrated by the sons and daughters of Iraq in this battle. Our brave soldiers, our security forces, our Popular Mobilization Forces, our Peshmerga, and everyone who contributed to this battle provided the most amazing examples of sacrifice and redemption. This victory would not have been achieved without the steadfastness and support of our great people who stood united against terrorism. …

في ضوء جهود الحكومة العراقية لحماية والمحافظة على تراث العراق الثقافي والتاريخي، تدعو سفارة جمهورية العراق في واشنطن جميع العراقيين والأصدقاء إلى الإسهام في هذه الجهود من خلال تسليم أي مصنفات مرئية عراقية (مقتنيات أثرية وثقافية) سواءً أصلية أو نسخ عنها، قد تكون بحوزتهم.
يأتي هذا النداء تأكيداً على أهمية تراثنا الوطني كجزء لا يتجزأ من هويتنا الثقافية والتاريخية، والذي يتطلب منا جميعًا العمل معًا لحمايته وصونه.

In light of the Iraqi government’s efforts to protect and preserve Iraq’s cultural and historical heritage, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington calls upon all Iraqis and friends to contribute to these efforts by handing over any Iraqi visual works (archaeological & cultural artifacts) whether original or replica, they may possess.
This call reaffirms the importance of our national heritage as an integral part of our cultural and historical identity, which requires all of us to work together to protect and preserve it.
