Iraq creates 19 new colleges
The new colleges and departments at Baghdad University will facilitate higher education in Iraq, and include programs in environmental studies, genetic engineering and various branches of the humanities.
The Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education recently announced it has created 19 new colleges and 36 new departments at a number of universities in Baghdad and other provinces.
The move is part of a plan to increase scientific specialisations and keep up with modern higher education studies in developed countries, the ministry said.
