Samsung Engineering secures $840M Iraq plant order
The project will involve engineering and design, procurement and construction of operations.
Samsung Engineering Co. recently announced that it has secured a $840 million gas oil separation plant order from Iraq.
The contract is part of the larger Zubair Oil Field Development Project, which, once completed, will produce 200,000 barrels of oil per day.
Samsung Engineering said the lump sum turnkey project calls for the company to handle engineering and design, procurement, construction and conduct pilot operations. Construction that officially kicked off on March 30, 2014 is expected to be completed by October 2016.
