Iraqi Ambassador to the U.S., Lukman Faily, spoke with Morning Joe to discuss the latest in the region and the election of a new speaker of parliament.

Ambassador Faily said that diplomacy alone cannot fix Iraq; “we need consistent collaboration between the political parties to work on the political side, but we also need security and military cooperation with international players, including the United States.”

With the news that parliament elected a Speaker, Ambassador Faily highlighted the path that Iraq is on towards political reconciliation.
