Foreign Minister Meets UNESCO Director General in Paris

Foreign Minister Mohamad A. Alhakim took part in the meeting of Director General of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Ms. Audrey Azoulay with the official delegation of His Excellency Dr. Barham Salih on 25th of February 2019.

In this visit, which is the first of its kind of an Iraqi President to the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris they discussed several topics, including reviving the spirit of Mosul, the reconstruction of areas affected by terrorist operations, revitalization of education sectors and upgrading curricula and higher education in Iraq, in addition to the implementation of training courses in the areas of education and vocational education, and maintaining Iraqi cultural and heritage institutions and providing the necessary support for them.
